POST 5 - WHO IS A PERSON/EXPERT ON MY FIELD THAT I ADMIRE?

The expert I admire is Humberto Maturana. He was a biologist and philosopher. He was born September 14, 1998, and died on May 6, 2021. He lived in Santiago and He studied in “liceo Manuel de Salas” and after he studied medicine in the University of Chile. He is so recognized for the theory of “Autopoiesis” that he said: “A living system is organized in such a way that all its components and processes jointly produce the same components and processes it requires to function, thus establishing itself as an autonomous, self-producing entity.” This theory was created in the decade 1970 with Francisco Varela.

Other important thing that he said is about the education because he proposal that the education is a process that happens all the time and other reflections on childhood, the future of humanity and emotions. He was doing a lot of things and is so important for different areas.

For me, he is important because I feel close to him for all things said or did it, I admire his work and I agree with the theory he proposed, along with that he says about education.

    I think he is a very important person for the university and the academic world here in Chile, I studied about him in different courses like Biología celular o Procesos Psicologicos del Aprendizaje.

POST 3 - MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

 I know there is many types of technology, but in this moment my favourite piece of technology is hand-held mixer which It is like a blender, but the hand-held mixer is more comfortable than the blender, because it´s smaller and light. You can use in the kitchen for a lot of things, like cook so different types of food, sweet or salty.  I usually use to prepare me milkshakes in the morning before I go to the university. Also, I use so much when I cook with my mother and I love it, for example, when we do soup, and we need grind the vegetables or we are doing sauces. It´s one of my favourite things to do with my mom, and we do it since I was a child.  Although I must admit that the life would not be so different without this hand-held mixer, because you perfectly can use the blender, but It would not be as fast and comfortable.

BLOG POST 4 - TOPIC A: FAVORITE FOOD

 I think this post is so easy to know for my friends, because all people that know me a little, know that my favorite food is the “sushi”!!! I really love that food, and it is an obsession. The origin of this food is from Japan, it´s a cylinder of rice and in the middle have different things like salmon, nori seaweed, cream cheese, green onion, avocado, chicken, shrimp, whatever you want, but the original sushi is simpler in Japan, although the adaptation from Chile is so delicious. The sushi is prepared with help of a “makisu” or mad, with that you can involve all the ingredients on the rice and form the cylinder. I love the sushi because I really like when it made with salmon or shrimp, and when one person knows prepared the rice, it is a perfect combination, and the name of this flavor is “umami”. Also, this food is healthy in the majority of cases, because you can involve all the cylinder with “panko” and fry it, therefore the oil is not the heathiest thing.
